How To Add a Texture To an Image Using Photoshop

Photo Logo Kit

Photoshop allows you to take an image and put numerous creative spins on it, and it can be a wonderful way to expand your portfolio and find your unique creative voice. One great way to add a bit more visual interest to a photo is to overlay a texture on it, and this excellent video tutorial will show you how to quickly and easily do so using Photoshop.

Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this great video tutorial will show you how to add a texture to an image using Photoshop. As you will see, it is not particularly hard to do, and it is good practice in basic things like masking. On top of that, if you do not own a textured backdrop, it is a fantastic way to mimic one instead of buying one. If you follow this process and you end up not particularly liking the texture you chose, of course, you can always change to a new one. However, you do not need to mask in the new one all over again; simply copy the layer mask from the first texture to the new one. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morganti.
