Three new Voigtlander lenses for Nikon Z-mount on display in Japan

In a presentation in Japan, Cosina displayed three additional Voigtlander lenses for Nikon Z-mount – two full-frame (based on the Sony versions) and one APS-C:

Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 50mm f/2 Asph lens for Z-mount (full frame)
Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 35mm f/2 Asph lens for Z-mount (full frame)
Voigtlander NOKTON D23mm f/1.2 Asph lens for Z-mount (APS-C)

All lenses will have electronic contacts. The official release date was not announced. The APS-C Z lenses will have a different design from the current Voigtlander X-mount lenses. Additional pictures:

Something interesting happened when the first Voigtlander NOKTON D 35mm f/1.2 APS-C mirrorless lens for Nikon Z-mount was announced a week ago – Nikon promoted the new lens on their social media channels:

This indicates that Nikon was working together with Cosina to develop the new Voigtlander lens for Z-mount (the lens has full electronic communication with Z cameras) and Nikon is probably getting a kickback from every sale. Nikon also has a history of working together with Cosina.

The new Nikkor Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens also seems to be a Tamron lens redesigned to fit Nikon Z-mount (this was also rumored for a while).

So far Tamron and Cosina are the only third-party companies that are working directly with Nikon on new Z lenses.

Viltrox is already selling autofocus lenses for Nikon Z-mount and TTartisan will soon release their first AF lens for Nikon Z cameras.

More third-party lenses for Nikon Z-mount can be found here.
