Canon EOS 70D

A quick Review and Specification for the Canon EOS 70D

Camera manufacturer Canon unveiled back in 2013 the EOS 70D, which had a groundbreaking focusing technique that unlocks the potential of Live View: Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This is the first DSLR camera to have this technology.

The EOS 70D’s Live View video captures smooth and accurate focusing like that of a camcorder, with the exceptional picture quality that is a trademark of EOS cameras. As a result, the Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD display II’s Vari-angle Touch Screen enables you to take full use of the flexibility of angle provided by Dual Pixel CMOS AF during Live View still picture recording.

Can you Live without Live View?

With the two real-world options of Live View and viewfinder shooting, the compositional possibilities are now practically unlimited. EOS 70D’s new Dual Pixel CMOS AF is compatible with over 103 of the company’s most popular EF lenses, which dramatically enhances photographers’ creative options.

The Camera Connect app*

The Camera Connect app* and built-in wireless technology* expand shooting options and make it even easier to share photos and videos. A first for an EOS camera with an APS-C sensor, the EOS 70D’s 20.2 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor produces stunning images. As a result of the strong DIGIC 5+ Image Processor, the camera can shoot at 7.0 frames per second and has an increased ISO range of 100–12800 (H: 25600).

Accuracy

The impressive 19-point all-cross-type AF system, which has a high accuracy dual cross f/2.8 center point and sophisticated display settings on the Intelligent Viewfinder, may be used to take stunning photographs.

Handheld Night Scene, HDR, and other real-time in-camera photography technologies like HDR and HDR Backlight Control make it easy to create stunning photographs with basic settings like a single exposure.

The EOS 70D with Dual Pixel CMOS AF puts the power of creative expression at your fingertips, allowing you to take stunning stills and stunning video.
